Welcome to Barrel One, our first feature from Sydneys Northern beaches. These guys have style but more importantly their coffee is delicious. We have four great coffees from them this week. Enjoy!

Aramo, Ethiopia

Aramo comes from small coffee producers nearby the Kebel Aramo coffee mill, located in the Gedeo Zone of the Yirgacheffe district. The Gedeo people are indigenous to the area. Ripe cherries, grown at altitudes between 6200 and 6900 feet from indigenous heirloom varietals are delivered to the Kebel Aramo mill.

La Finca, Honduras



At 26 years old, Sahara and her newly married husband brought a farm. It was undoubtedly a blessing for them, hence why they call it Finca La Benedicion (The Blessing). On Finca La Benedicion, coffee is grown using only organic farming practices. The couple are continuously learning new organic techniques to improve their soil health and cup quality.

Brew time - 90 seconds (including bloom)

Press consistently over 15-20 seconds.
